Yeah as the title says i cant get the game to run at all =\.

Using 7 32-bit, tried running it in compatibilty mode, then with the 1.01 patch, then with the 2.0 booster pack and still nothing =\.

I have the gold version of the game, digital copy from "gamersgate".

Seems to install fine, anti virus was in learning/off mode during install, everything seemed in check but, just after clicking the .exe and the shortcut, with the patch the splash screen stays up for a bit, then it just go's away then nothing .

Ive installed it on G: in its own folder, and completely followed Scrats guide, which hasnt helped.

And ofc UAC is off.

Any ideas?

Im pretty sure i had this issue before aaaaaaages ago but that was on XP PRO and i cant remember lol. help would be appreciated

Ive done it so many different ways now, and done that whole TAGES thing too, doing that gives the "please insert the correct CD" issue, and i cant create a fixed image (or can i?) as i have that digital version.

Using a crack just locks it up.

No way at all to get this working on 7 with all the accompliments?

Ok, i think i got everything working but, how do i tell if im running with the Booster Pack 2? will it say in the options??

Because currently, it says booster pack 1 and SEASMOD.

Installing the booster pack normally causes the "insert your cd rom" issue, so all ive done is copy the files over and left the .EXEs, as its the only way it will work but, am i using booster pack 2?

If you would be able to read, you would know that the Boosterpack2 ist not a new Boosterpack but a collection of the BP, the SDK and the Community Fix

All i was asking was if there was any visual indication when its installed in the game, not "is this a new booster pack", maybe you should not be so quick to judge when you accuse people of not being able to read, if you your self is being mis-assumptuous .

From deducting through your rudeness im assuming the polite version of what you said is

"Yes it is applied to your game and working"

All i was really asking was if there was anything i could physically look out for to give me immediate feedback that the game is running with the fixes applied etc.

@Tyrannick: I’m a newbie here, too, and I’ve found folks here, including AnthonyCole, to usually be very friendly and supportive, so I really think it’s the heat: It’s been really really REALLY hot over here in Germany these past several weeks, and I guess tempers especially of teens have been a bit heated up by this Just imagine physical pressure building up in a body during heat PLUS here in the forum the same questions often being asked over and over again, this can easily explain how sometimes a temper boiling over even though the cause is measly.

Perhaps we all can exercise being a little more indulgent of each other. Being hard when fighting in Paraworld, being clement when communicating w/ each other? Whaddya think, folks?

Besides, i wasnt asking a repeat question, he completely mis-interpreted what i said then had a go at me.

All i was asking, for like the fourth time, was if it displayed any feedback in game of the fixes applied by booster pack 2 to be working, thats all. even it was:

"oh, in game, look out for [insert name of thing to look out for], that will show you that you installed it correctly" etc.

But nevermind, i guess it is other wise SEAS wouldnt be working properly i suppose, so whatever. Im sorted i guess.
